OPPORTUNITY DETAILS

SUMMARY

Our client is hiring a Director of Finance to join the team.

A suitable candidate should be a motivated and multi-skilled individual that meets the requirements of the role.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE

  • Strategically guide the CEO to achieve the company’s long-term vision.
  • Provide expert financial guidance to ensure the trust remains within budgets, is a viable organisation and that the finances are well monitored in line with current legislation.
  • As the Finance Authority for the trust, validating financial projections within business strategies to ensure viability.
  • Implementing financial and procurement controls in line with current legislation & organisation rules.
  • Take the lead on the financial management of the strategic & business planning process including providing business plans, financial reports, forecasts, KPI reports, budgets & ad hoc financial advice.
  • Report any variances to the Executive to ensure financial forecasts are accurate.
  • Lead the finance department by providing accurate & timely management information, effective systems & controls and excellent statutory accounting & tax compliance.
  • Cashflow monitoring & forecasting.
  • Creating & maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the finance of development projects, including tax planning, funding & structuring.
  • Attend various board meetings as required to report and present information, acting as a Director on subsidiary committees.
  • Risk Management.
  • Act as an employment advisor for the Pension Trustee Company.
  • Provide positive & supportive leadership for the Finance team, whilst encouraging a continuous improvement culture.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA with previous experience in a similar capacity – as an FC/FD or similar.
  • Able to lead in a strategic but inspiring way.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Confident individual with career growth aspirations.
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, team building, and problem-solving skills.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in Finance is highly desirable.
  • Strong IT skills, always ahead of new technologies
  • Experience gained in operations across multiple countries and currencies.
  • Dealing with remote offices and different administrations.
