SUMMARY

Our client is hiring an English Teacher to join the team.

A suitable candidate should be a motivated and multi-skilled individual that meets the requirements of the role.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE

• Organize classroom lectures and coursework.
• Prepare materials and activities.
• Assign homework and interesting exercises.
• Identify students with special requirements and create individualized plans.
• Determine exam and assignment grades.
• Provide feedback based on workload and classroom behaviour.
• Keep a record of students’ attendance and grades.
• Research new language teaching methods.
• Manage classroom crises and resolve conflict.
• Inform parents about their children’s performance.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and administrators to foster a good student experience.
• Help students develop High-Performance Learning skills in line with the school’s values.
• Set homework according to policy and pertinent to the student’s ability and wider workload.
• Promote high standards of the organisation.
• Participate positively in departmental meetings, follow policies and generally contribute to the effective and efficient running of the department.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

• BSc/BA in English Language or English Literature.
• Previous experience as an English teacher.
• Knowledge of various teaching methods.
• Deep understanding of the national curriculum and English language requirements.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• A patient and resilient personality.
• Dedication to students and education.

DESIRABLE

• Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
